Seeking a Network Engineer. The candidate designs, implements and supports local and wide area networks, including the configuration and maintenance of the company's routers, Catalyst and Nexus switches, CSU/DSUs, ASA firewalls, load balancers, and other network devices. The Data Network Services team is responsible for the following tasks. Team members typically specialize in multiple areas. Configure and maintain Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and hardware load balancers. Deploy and manage MPLS and DSL circuits for remote facilities. Configure and support wireless networks and wireless Lan controllers. Measure and diagnose network performance using tools such as Orion Network Performance Monitor, Network Configuration manager, and Fluke Netflow Tracker. Analyze network traces to identify root cause of performance issues, and implement corrective actions. Manage the company's Unified Communications Manager for IP Telephony support. Support Tandberg high definition video conferencing systems. Support the company's Ironport web security appliances. Support Citrix Netscaler Hardware Load Balancers. Provide network support for Cisco Unified Computing System and virtual server environment. Participate on multi-discipline teams in network planning and design, and document network architecture, standards, and procedures. Develop solutions in response to customer requests, and present recommendations that include technical and cost benefit analysis. Should have comprehensive understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP, and Cisco IOS configuration. Experience supporting MPLS, BGP, DSL, EIGRP, and VPNs required. Must have excellent customer service and communications skills. Experience creating and managing to project schedules required.
